Things Not To Do If You Want to Save your Teeth

When you lose teeth it can change the whole shape of your face, but with dental implants that doesn’t need to happen. People do all kinds of things with and to their teeth that cause damage and in some cases loss of the tooth. Traditionally full or partial dentures would have been the solution, but whereas they might last around ten years with maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Repair Your Damaged Teeth

Sometimes the damage is caused by simple things that you do on the day to day, like eating nuts, candies, or hard foods. In the process of removing caps, tops or lids an injury can be sustained. Things you don’t give a second thought to, such as cracking ice cubes, nut shells or popcorn kernels can lead to issues. We all know that one guy in college who likes to remove caps from beer bottles with their teeth – their teeth seem strong so it seems like a good idea at the time. You may not take good care of your teeth and lose them that way, or it could be from a sporting injury. If you grind your teeth they are also not going to last.
