Introducing the VIVOS Therapeutics System
The single biggest breakthrough in the treatment of mild-to-moderate sleep apnea since CPAP
The Sleep Apnea Vivos® System
It involves a thorough and complete set of tests and examinations, followed by a review from a Board Certified Sleep Apnea Physician.
The Vivos® System represents a clinical breakthrough in the treatment of sleep disordered breathing including mild-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea resulting from underdeveloped upper and lower jaws resulting in restricted airways.
It solves the problem, it is not bandaid treatment.
Safe and effective for people of all ages, The Vivos® System includes specific preventative treatment protocols for children who demonstrate early signs such as crooked or crowded teeth, poor sleep, snoring, behaviour problems, headaches, teeth grinding and mouth breathing.
The Process
Our dentist and staff will provide several simple tests and measurements to determine if you have indications of sleep apnea. If the collected data indicates the strong chance of apnea, the information is sent to a board certified sleep apnea physician to review. If a diagnosis of sleep apnea comes, our dental office will provide you numerous choices to help solve the situation.
Often the best solution is one or two removable custom biometric medical appliances that are worn 10 – 16 hours a day. They are designed on the VIVOS dental research that guides the facial bones to expand and increase airways so the restrictions do not cause the apnea and snoring.
The treatment takes 12 – 36 months mainly depending on patient compliance wearing the appliance 10 – 16 hours a day. (usually overnight and during part of the day.)
Results
Most patients feel some results in the first few months but sometimes it takes more time. During treatment, periodic adjustments to your appliance are made by your treating dentist, who works in close collaboration with a medical sleep specialist.
Upon completion of treatment, many patients do not require further intervention.
Occasionally, simple orthodontic alignment and retention, or restorative therapy is part of the completion of treatment.
