Do I Need A Root Canal?
Do I need a root canal? My tooth is painful, and I think that there may be some infection there. It lasts for quite a while, and I can’t really chew on that side of my mouth. I can see that the tooth is discolored, and something gross is draining into my mouth. I was reading about testing with hot and cold, and I’ve been alternating between hot and cold drinks myself to see which one is less painful to drink. I have to stop exploring the tooth with my tongue because that keeps making it flare up. I don’t really want to have to get an x-ray, but I suppose that might be a possibility. I don’t think I cracked in any teeth, but I was eating nuts the other day. Maybe that’s it – the crown feels odd, and the whole tooth seems larger in my mouth.
A Root Canal Restores Your Tooth’s Functionality,
I had a root canal once, and it wasn’t so bad, despite what I had been imagining. I know that they have to remove all the pulp and the nerve, which I think they deaden first, and then all the infected matter and the decay. Once this was done they filled it with some medically treated material, and then they gave me a new crown.
I know that Clearwater Family Dental uses Solea Laser Technology, so that reduces pain and bleeding, and that all helps to speed recovery, which is really great and makes me feel less nervous about what needs to be done. I’m going to give them a call and book an appointment today!
